Outboard move from back of boat not from the steering assembly. How do we fix this?

Replace the motor mounts or the bushings in the tilt section or both.

We are very new to boats. Where do I find how to replace the bushings, pictures, details? Is the bushing at the top to the transom? Area where the outboard swizels left to right?

You will need a manual, since these are involved tasks. My preference is the factory service manual, but the sealoc ones are available on site.

We have everything off, but had to cut a hole in the transom to get to the nut. What should we use to refill the hole to make it water tight? We were told to try not to take the engine out.
