I swapped engines out of a junker into one that is a much better hull and exact fit. The guy I got the junker from claimed the motor was running great, easy to start. Not sure what the problem is. Seems the fuel is not being pumped into carburetor. When I dribble a little gasoline down the throat of the carburetor then crank it the motor runs wild until the gas runs out, just a few seconds. I've checked throttle and linkage. Everything appears to be as it should be. What could it be? My only guess is that an air leak in carburetor to manifold gasket is allowing air in which is like an open throttle plate... anybody else got any ideas?
