ok i know practically nothing about this thing all i know is its 2 cylinders 2 stroke and its my neighbors. i thought i could try to fix it up for him. well he said that his wife went on it and all she could do was troll home and couldnt bring up any more speed or it died. well i was thinking fuel pump but it could be the fuel filter. i opened the seat and found oil at the bottom quite some there too. and the guy tried to start it but it wouldnt last mroe then a second. i checked the fuel tank and it smelled like bad gas in it and they said they havent used it in a while. so about the oil the guy said he thinks its the lines and i say screw the vro pump go premix.

how do u premix like do u just stop putting oil in the can and premix or r there special things? and what r ur guys ideas?

,,the oil is probably the rotary valve line that is leaking and doing away with the oil injection would not solve the problem plus the oil and tank must be left in or the rotary valve will burn up it's bearings,, as for the fuel it probably is bad and the carb and fuel pump need to be rebuilt plus the tank must be cleaned, too often I see where someone removed the oil pumps and oil tanks not knowing they also lube the rotary valve, so be careful .

ok so theres like no way that the pump can be dismantled and as if there was nvr one so u can premix. im afraid that the pump might sopt working and his motor seize up. so ya i guess we just need to replace the lines then but ya ill tell him to clean carb fuel pump and gas tank and rebuild kits for fuel pump and carb and by the way where do we get this stuff

one more question how would u clean the gas tank?

you can remove the oil pump loop the small oil lines from the fittings on the rotary valve cover, so air won't get sucked in ,, put on a block off for the pump and add one turn to the carb spring so the throttle cable has enough tension on it,, otherwise the carb can stick wide open since the pump adds to the tension of the throttle cable if it is a variable ratio pump,, if not it won't matter. not sure on that year,, the big hoses from the oil tank go to the rotary valve,, those need to be there and oil needs to be in the tank.. to clean the fuel tank I siphon out the fuel and remove the tank wash it out with fresh fuel and then reinstall it. it probably has only 1 carb,, kits are available most places have them. get rid of all the sea doo fuel lines they get all gummed up and cause a lot of fuel issues,, also bypass the fuel selector switch,, by now it is probably all clogged up or allowing air to get in the suction side of the fuel system. or both. Just connect to the reserve pickup on the fuel tank and block off the other pickup.

I have a '93 SeaDoo SPi.
I had an oil leak which turned-out to be the oil filter. It's a small in-line white plastic filter located in the line from the oil tank. It was leaking at a seam in the plastic. Might try replacing the filter?
