1993 merc 115 runs great in gear , no hesitation and performs flawlessly, after it gets warm it idles to what the tac says is 2800 rpms , when I put it in gear it feels like it slams into gear , I know this cant be good for the gears, I know it's idling to high , but not sure what to do to fix it, don't want to put it in the shop , to much fishing to do, but don't want to tear my foot up either, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
