Hello Everyone,
I am hoping to get some input on setting the idle on a Mercury 40hp 1993. I set the timing according to a factory manual and this caused the idle to raise to about 1100 running on hose muffs in the drive way. The carb butterflies are closed. I have not adjusted the low idle screws.
How much will the idle lower at the lake in gear with the drag load?
