Just bought a 1993 Mariner 75 hp 3 cylinder tiller on a Lund Pro V. When I turn the keep, I do not hear any beeps or anything. I Ordered a factory service manual, but don't want to wait for it to come in. So I thought I would ask here where it could be located. I looked up online to find what I am looking for and still cannot find it. Is it under the hood, or somewhere in the boat?

Motor runs, and there is lots of smoke. I am trying to find if the previous owner disconnected it or pulled a fuse or something.

Any and all help would be great.

Depends on control box but no self test on a 75. If key is on handle it will be in the box housing.Turn key to on and short tan temp to ground ,horn should sound. Unplug the 2 blue wires on bottom of oil tank, take a jumper wire to blue wire engine side and horn should sound. No oil pump warning just hot and low oil. Use pre mix till you can verify oil pump is works as it my be disabled.

The model number is not listed on the sticker, but the serial number is. it is 0D252614. It is an electric start, tiller handle, power trim, long shaft 20".

If key is in box mounted on handle ...alarm is in handle. If key in box mounted on transom or sides tiller has been added and alarm will be in that box

Found it under the cover where the coils are located. I find this confusing, when the hood and cover is on, you can hardly hear the horn sounding. But it is where it is at.
