My javelin seems to be taking a lot long than it should to reach plane. From idle when I go full throttle the nose lifts up and the motor seems to Rev just fine but it's almost like the prop isn't engaging and it takes more than a few seconds to finally "catch" and climb on plane. Same result happens even when I try to ease into the throttle. The last time I had it out it even acted like the prop wanted to catch and then cut out and caused a sort of lurch in the boat for a second. The hub in the prop seems to be okay but idk. So do I need a new prop? Is it something in the foot? The motor maybe? Btw the prop is a 19 pitch 13 spline stainless prop

What engine is it? What condition is the engine in?
Compression Test?
Ignition needs to be able to produce a Spark good enough to jump a 3/8" gap.
Are all the carbs getting Fuel? Are all the carbs functioning?
How long have you owned this boat-motor?

It's a 120 johnson best I can tell it's the motor that came on the boat in 93. I've had it for 2 years and it was not do this last year. Compression checks out good. Once it finally planes out the boat runs great and idles fine sitting still
