1993 Evinrude 30hp Airbox

Hi everyone, I recently bought a 1993 Princecraft Starfish 20 with a '93 Evinrude 30hp tiller. It is long shaft, manual start and I just wanted to know if there was originally an Airbox on the front of the carb or if the factory omitted it on this model and if the cowling acts like the air box?

I took a quick look, didn't see one. Scroll through the parts breakdown and see if you can find one.

Yah I've looked through some parts fiches on the evinrude site and couldn't find one, I've seen other pics of this outboard without one so I'm almost 100% sure it doesn't have one. Thanks

It doesn't have one. That's when the bean counters at OMC decided it didn't need one.
