1993 70 HP Fuel Quick Connect

Hi All,

I am having a real issue finding the Quick Connect for this motor. 2 Questions;


1. Can I splice the Fuel hose down from a 3/8 to a 5/16 and use the 5/15 Quick Connect.

2. Can I just splice it to the fuel and elimante the Quick Connect.

I have a 91 /70 hp and it just uses a regular quick that you can get at walmart. You could just splice onto it but I would not recommend it. Did you ask your local dealer about it?

I purchased 2 aftermarkets and 1 leaked and the other 1 I could not get any pump the ball. Asked an Evinrude Dealer and thye said the after markets are "Hot and Miss", what sucks is that Envinrude Website only has 5/16 for my year and make motor

Sorry, I had misread your earlier post. If it was mine I would just reduce it down.

If it's leaking fuel you can replace the o-ring in the connector.

Wish I could but the darn thing broke just hoping I can splice it down to 5/16 with no issues?
