1993 40Hp Magnum, More Hp?

I have a 1993 40hp Magnum 4 cyl, I've read that the 50hp is the same engine but with a different intake? Can the 40 be upgraded to a 50 or even a 60hp? The engine works so well, I'd hate to get rid of it.

Nope..same exact engine....

Your motor is the original 50hp and thru the engine ratings is actually a 45 hp..thus the 40 magnum decals. Sorry but no it cannot be turned into a 60hp:grumpy:

Thanks for the reply, so I guess I'm stuck with 40hp at the prop unless I want to swap the complete engine?
