1992 Yamaha 9.9 cracked lower unit

I have a half moon crack just above the exhaust and was told it was from running it in saltwater. Is there any way to fix this and what will happen down the road.

Yammies love to do this... Just leave it alone and dont worry..I know it looks like heck. Its corrosion that has built up between the lower unit housing and the bearing carrier. You can weld it if you like. If you take it apart you will need to replace all the parts...so just leave it alone, no oil will leak because oil is behind the crack.
