1992 yamaha 40

runs good at idle,but as the revs come up it gets a miss,its like the engine is looses it spark for a moment after seconds of runnin smooth..runs 3 or 4 secs then get a miss and then runs again for a few secs then a miss again

Ahoy, Islander.<br /><br />Your problem could be ignition, loose connection for example, or it could be fuel, like a weak fuel pump.<br /><br />Try spraying some fuel mix into the carb(s) when it is cutting out. If the problem clears temporarily, it is a carb/fuel pump problem. If not, it is likely to be an ignition system problem.<br /><br />Consult your Repair manual.<br /><br />Good luck.
