Hi folks,
First post so be easy,
I have a 1992 Nissan NS8B on my F-27 trimaran that we bought last Sept. The motor has run strong until this last weekend.
The motor would run just about just above idle @ WOT. and running very rough. I changed out the plugs and the motor ran great until I put the cover back on. I think the motor is being starved for air. As I slowly lower the cover in place I can hear the RPM's start dropping.
I have tried a small section of thin rubber in the rear of the cover to rule out any plug wire grounding.
I did notice a great deal of exhaust from what I think is the crank case vent? (next to where the throttle and shift linkage comes into the cover).
Taking the motor off of the boat to take in to a shop is quite a chore, with the remote throttle and wiring.
Any suggestions?????
