Fuel system rebuilt***
Key switch was dry rotted to sh** 1st time owning one 😂 it went from the original quicksilver 8 wire key switch to a new aftermarket 6 wire .. 2nd bump is with the choke engaged, what could i have done wrong

It sounds OK. What were the wires that did not exist in the 6 wire harness?

An 8 wire harness will have +12VDC, Ground, Kill, Choke, Starter Solenoid, Tach signal, Overheat and ign power.

It is difficult to see what you have in the video.
You should have red, black, black/yellow, yellow/black, grey and yellow/red as a minimum. Those are for +12VDC, ground, ign killer, choke, tach signal and starter solenoid, respectively. The voltage regulator would normally get the purple wire, but you may be able to connect it to the red one. The last wire is for overheat warning.

Why do you want to connect to a 6 wire harness?

Also, The lube alert module for the oil injection likely needs the ign power (purple) wire.

No reason i just couldn’t gind a 8 wire replacement. But the purple wire is the oil injection? And ignition is usually red right? Sounds like i found the problem bc befor i thought wiring i thought it was flooded .. so when I reinstated the engine and drained the bowl it wasn’t blueish🤔 it was straight non ethanol which makes sense

Purple is ignition *** which color usually is the lube alert

Purple is ign power to the lube alert sensor. The output from the lube alert module is to the same buzzer for overheat. Your current 6 wire harness doesn't allow for either of those wires.

So basically the injection isn’t working causing the motor not to turn over . If i were to premix the gas could it start?

No, the oil injection is mechanical. Without the purple and brown wires the alert system won't work. You will therefore not know if the oil tank is low or the oil pump has failed, or the motor is overheating.

She will still run, without the alert system. I would premix the gasoline at a 50::1 ratio, until you get this sorted out.
