1992 Johnson 175 low idle problem

After start up my 175 Johnson wants to die after a few minutes at idle.After restart it will only idle a few seconds unless I manually choke it before it dies.<br />It always starts up good unless it sets a while then I have to choke it.<br />Any help greatly appreciated......<br />Thanks, Mark .............

IF this is 60 degree engine check coils for arcing to metal plate between coil pack and power pack. fire it up at night look for arcing. They have other problems, but I would check this first.

Thanks,I'll do that tonite....<br />I didn,t mention that the motor won't usually start unless I pump the bulb on the fuel line... Didn't know if that might be part of the problem..
