Re: 1992 Johnson 175 Faststrike
Ahoy, Mark. Did you check your fuel tank venting, fuel tank, lines, primer bulb, etc.?

Along with the: "change parts until the problem goes away" syndrome, the: "everything is okay, it just doesn't work" syndrome will delay (even prevent) solution by a consultant. We can't see, hear or feel your engine. We need symptoms and facts.

Pump your primer bulb when it threatens to quit. Does that pick it back up? Loosen your tank cap. Do you get a whoosh!?

After it has died and is refusing to restart, spray a bit of WD-40 into the air intake. Does that get it to start?

When it has died and is refusing to start, remove a spark plug lead and see if it will arc 1/2" to the block. Try them all, one at a time.

Run it with the bonnet off. Does it go longer before quitting, or even continue without quitting?

Standing by. . .
JB
