I've got a 1992 Johnson 150 that I have had 2 people attempt to repair. One was a Johnson dealer. I am still having the problem. The problem is the engine was going dead at idle but now it's starving for fuel at full speed. You can pump bulb and it will pick up and go. Do I need to change my VRO pump? If so, I don't use the oil injection, I mix oil & gas in the tank. Is there any way around high price of a VRO pump?

Thanks very much,

Before buying any parts, I would do a pressure, vacuam test on the fuel system. You could well have a restriction such as a anti-siphon valve in the fuel tank, or an air leak in a fitting.
