1992 evinrude 50 hp vs 1988 evinrude 60 hp

i have a 16 foot aluminum center console boat my 1988 60 hp evinrude drop a cylinder found a 1992 50 hp just wanted to know am i going to be losing alot as far as power goes between the two models. thanks for any input

I would suspect a 5 mph drop in boat speed. Mabey even less, not knowing how strong your 60 was running. And asumeing the 50 runs strong.<br /><br />In other words, you will just have to try it out.<br /><br />Good luck!
