While trolling the other day on our pontoon (motor was and has been running great) it just died in the water. I checked and both cylinders had good spark. I pulled the boat out of the water and took the carb off ( gas came out of carb when I removed)and blew jets out. Put the carb back on and the boat fired right up. Put it back in the water and went for a ride. Trolled for about a mile before it got cold outside and decided to go back home. I gave it full throttle and it ran great at first and then sputtered a couple of times before we got home. The next day I drained all the gas from the tank and ran it thru a filter before cleaning the tank and refilling. The boat started right up and I let it idle for about 5 minutes before it stalled and now it wont fire again. Do you think the hose from the tank to the motor might be contaminating the carb? Also is there something I can do to clear the carb again without having to take it off? I will have to pull the boat out of the water again to take off carb which requires removing the starter to get to. Kinf of a pain in the behind. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
