Whenever I take my boat out to the lake I have trouble starting it. I spray carb cleaner into the airbox it will strat but then it acts like it is starving for gas so I have to pump the primer ball every couple of minutes so it wont stall. It seems like it isn't getting enough fuel to the top carb. What would cause that?

A bad pump.
Restriction or leak in fuel lines, restriction in the pickup in tank etc.

Could also be a bad primer ball, I've had a few of these fail, check fuel line fittings and o-rings at tank and motor connectors, fuel lines under the motor cowel could be cracked/split sucking air. Your fuel pump might have a filter screen in it and might be plugged,(not likely but check it anyway). After checking these things and what the captain suggested, pull your carbs apart and check for dirt/jelly or any jet obstruction. good luck.
