I have a 91 yamaha 150 I'm trying to get started. It sat for almost 2 years unrigged when I purchased it. Pulled the heads and cleaned the cylinders. Bolted it up and plugged in the harnesses. Turns over good and I have rebuilt and blown out the carbs with air. Getting spark on number 1 cylinder. Even tried to spray a little fuel in the carbs to get it to fire. Just not firing. Would appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks/Keith

Hi Fishing fool2,
You may be getting fire on #1, but how about all the rest. I don't think that it will run on just one cylinder.
Check compression on all cylinders, then check spark on all cylinders. If all this is good, then try a little fuel mixture in the carbs. It should run then unless the flywheel key is sheared.
Good Luck

Make sure the battery is fully charged. You may be getting a spark but it may be too weak to ignite the fuel. When you take the spark plugs out after trying to start, are they wet or dry. If they are wet it is an indication there is no spark. If they are dry then the problem is fuel.Another problem could be stale fuel.
Good luck.
