Having trouble with my 1991 200 hp Mercury EFI. The engine is great at the initial cold start. Turns over maybe 2 times starts right up and idles beautifully. Leave the boat launch and it runs great. Go maybe a mile or two up lake and fish maybe one hour. Get ready to move to next spot. Engine is considerbly harder to start. Acts like it is flooded but finally starts. Head to next spot. Runs great. Fish about an hour. Get ready to move to next spot. Even harder to start. I have to pop into neutral and put at half throttle to get started. Run a little rough and a whole lot of smoke. Seems even more flooded. Finally clears out, idles good, take off runs great. Get to next spot.fish an hour. Then it’s a repeat, even harder to start. More smoke, way more smoke, runs rough. Seems flooded. Head back to dock. Runs perfect. What would cause it to be easy to start when cold but each time i stop it gets harder start? Why would it flood? If anybody could help I would appreciate some advice.
thanks
