I have a 1991 gamefisher 15hp outboard that wont start, not even sputter. Carb is clean, new plugs, strong spark, plenty of fuel getting to carb after countless tries it still wont even sputter. Pulled the plugs and bone dry, what should I look at trying? Thanks in advance.

Clean the carb.Sounds like the float is stuck.
Ethanol and some carb cleaners and soaks will have something in it that swells the rubber and makes the flow slow/stop.
Guessing your in the US??
Profile, location? You might be close to someone who can help??

Yes in the US, southern Maryland. I have cleaned it twice, but I guess once more cant hurt. I just can picture the carb being the issue after 2 cleanings. What I did notice is the primer bulb on the front of the motor seems like its not pulling fuel, would a air leak there cause fuel to not get into the head/cylinder? I can pump the primer bulb tight and the carb does fill up with fuel so not the fuel pump right?

Pump bottle some of your 50:1 premix in the carb and see if it will fire on that. If it fires, that will dictate a fuel issue. What are the engines past history as when and how well it ran last?

The carb is full of fuel, but nothing even when I spray from a bottle either. I was given the motor and the only history they know of is that it has been in storage 10+ years.

Have you checked the compression that could be affect due to the long storage (rings not sealing)? Fire/Fuel/Compression and the Eng should Pop (if not Run a second on the prime if fuel is an issue). If you d/n have a gauge, a quick test is you s/n be able to hold the compression in the cyl with you finger or thumb. Make sure the plug wire w/n shock you and a finger over the plug hole vs in the hole.

If no decent compression is felt or read (100 + psi) you might try adding 2-3 teaspoons of 30 wt oil to try and seal the rings in the dry cyl (cranked a few sec before adding the plugs). We have done this with success on autos after they had sat for years.

Good Luck!

Squirt a little starting fluid in the cylinders and see if it starts. I Have a 1991 Force 9.9hp ( game fisher and force are identical for that year plus the 9.9. & 15 are the same except for a couple of things) I recently encountered a similar problem. It's probably the fuel pump. It needs to be cleaned with some carb cleaner. The carb might be getting fuel but it might not be getting enough. Starting fluid and carb cleaner are basically the same. Try that.
Good luck.

compression is good, pretty sure its the primer bulb on the front of the motor....or lack there of. I pulled it apart today and the bulb has disintegrated.

Good Find! That s/n have stopped the engine from firing on a manual prime.
