1991 Force 35 hp shifting problem

I recently got a 1991 Force 35 hp tiller. It runs good but won't stay in gear. I have to hold the shift lever to keep it in gear. Any idea what the problem is?

I dont know your motor but the clutch dogs could be worn.And some motors have adjustable linkage.<br /> You should start with a service manual it might be a simple procedure.If your going to be doing any work on your motor it will be a great help.<br /> Someone will no doubt be along with more help.
