After many hours of looking I think I know whats going on. The motor starts great but will not idle.
The key switch will not engage the enricher. ( No click )
While running I blew the fuse on the motor and that started me looking at the wiring. The wires in that area over heated and shorted out. I found that problem easy.
Looking at the fuse problem I found the choke problem. When I blew the fuse the boat started running better.
Turns out the choke cilinode seems to be always on.
The fuse is burned out so I am left with two bare ends of wire. When I touch them together I can hear the click of the solenoid .
My first guess was the control box was giving me a short and causing the choke to stay open. I unplugged the control box. I touched the two wires together and I can still hear the solenoid open.
I think the solenoid is ok because I can make it open and close. My only guess is another short???
Any ideas.
Thanks
Brent
