So this is the problem with my motor.

numbers below I'm guessing cause I don't have a tach.

#1 cylinder idles at prob 400-500 rpm and spits gas out little hole on carb
#2 cylinder idles at around 1000 and no gas spitting, works perfect.

I can idle with both cylinders going and it is hard to tell one is running badly. When I start to apply power, you can tell it doesn't have the same thrust it should, then much past 1/2 throttle, it starts to spit gas out the little hole on the carb (not the throat) and misses really bad.

Checked the following
switched coiling - problem stays on #1
Cleaned carb (only 1 on motor) - problem stays on #1
Checked Reed valves and cleaned - problem stayed
Checked cooling flow through motor...
compression test #1 152 #2 is a touch higher 156
Stator good
Adjusted air to 1 turn and a bit
new plugs same issue
seafoam same issue

Kicking it, throwing cover and chucking a wrench in the woods didn't resolve the issue.

The motor is new to me, I replaced the power pack because the #1 was completely dead at the start of this project so I don't know if this is a new problem.

I just bought an in line tester and got plenty of spark both plugs.

Fuel supply good,
Spark good
Air good
#2 runs good

Only thing I can think of is timing. Can the number 1 be out of time and the #2 cylinder not? If so, timing instrustions would be good.

What was the Fix? A fresh batch of gas with Stabil, with all fuel lines and connections checked and a good hard run??

I see that posted often here.... "try fresh gas" must be more expensive here in New Brunswick, I can't afford to store gas until it goes bad.

It was an elbow causing the issue. It had a gel plugging it, a clear slim, snot type stuff. Looked like the motor sucked up a jellyfish and put it into the elbow on the cover transport port. I put new lines on it yesterday and didn't fix it. took off the elbow and cleaned. I never would have guess (well I did guess) this would cause 1 cylinder to work poorly and the other normal. I got lucky, I was about to drive 1500km back to Ontario and have a guy there fix it. He was a great help in getting the motor back from the dead.
