I have a 1991 Black Max 150 (ODO21340). I would like to install a water pressure gauge. I have the gauge and tube from a prior boat I would like to use if possible. My engine does not have a spot for installing a gauge so after researching my options it looks like I need to fit a tee in the tube going to the port in the top of the engine behind the flywheel. My first question is is there a kit available to do this with? Can I just buy a tee and connect the tube connector (shown in picture) to the tee. If I can do this I know the tee would need to be the size to fit the tubing, but how could I connect my fitting to the tee?

The fitting in your photo looks like a compression fitting. You may find a threaded port for it on the motor, but it is not likely. Usually a trip to the home despot to get the right fittings is necessary. Get a brass tee with threads to accept two hose barbs of the right size for the cooling hose on your motor. The third threaded port on the tee should receive a 1/8" hose barb, which should fit your pressure gauge tube.

That Merc will put out no more than 15PSI at cruising speed, so hopefully your gauge is no more than 0-30PSI.

Thanks for your help. That is just what I needed. Mine is a 0-30. It was on a 1980 Mercury 150 I used to have. Are those tees with a 1/8 hose threaded port very common? I only have lowes near me and after looking yesterday all I could find was tees with 3 hose barbs.
