Hello I'm new to forum and looking for a few opinions. I'm looking at a Yamaha 150 thats been sitting for 2 or 3 years and I did a compression test on it which reads around 90 psi on all 6 cylinders. I don't know much about the motors but from what I've read it should be higher. Maybe I have a bad gauge who knows, I just bought it to do the test....and no the motor would not start, he said it didn't have any gas in it. All cylinders were reading the exact same which is good but the readings were just low from what I've read it should be and thats my concern.... any opinions would be appreciated

it might be an 1989 I don't remember.

I would be concerned with a 27 year old motor that has not been run in years and that will not start and run.
