1990 V8 Mercruiser Timing

Hi

I have a 1990 Searay 220 DA It has a 5.7 ltr V8 Mercrusier 260hp with Electronic ignition. I want to check and adjust if necessary the timing, I have done this ona 3.0ltr but never this boat. Can anyone tell me the proceedure.

Ayuh,..

If you've got the T-Bolt IV igntion,...
Just hook up the light,+ Time it...

If you have the T-Bolt V,.. You need to lock it in Base Mode, with a jump wire...

The 1990 engine is a Thunderbolt IV ignition.

Thank you. and I just time it as per the degrees on the flame arrestor?

Ayuh,.... As long as it's the original, it should be Right,...

Better yet,..
Go up to the Adults Only section,+ download the factory Manual for your motor,+ drive....
