1990 MeriCrusier 3.0

I have a 1990 Mericrusier 3.0 inboard. It turns over but it doesn’t always crank. I am looking for some possible help. (It has a brand new starter on it and brand new spark plugs.)

Turn over = crank.

Are you saying the engine turns over/cranks but does not always start/run?

Or

The engine occasionally turns over/cranks, but not always?

Did you file them, did you set the dwell with a meter? Did you reset the timing

You need to set up a few test points so you can immediately check things when the fault shows.
Set up test points on the starter slave solenoid and the starter motor.
