1990 Legend

Hello, I am new to boating and looking to find direction. I have a 1990 Legend fibreglass 16.5 foot Fish and Fun or Ski and Fish boat. I understand these boats are made by Panther but cannot seem to find any info on it. Would anyone know where I could find info on these boats. How are they built, etc.. I have no manual or anything. It does have a trolling motor and the original motor 100 merc was changed for a 1998 75 Merc (2 stroke). This boat is in very good shape, was never left in the water and always stored inside. I need things like a windshield panel and other misc little things.

I am also looking at a kicker motor if that makes any sense. The wife would like to putt along the shore while I fish.
Any help advice etc is welcome. I am in Northern Ontario.

You won't be able to find much information on them. In the late 80s and 90s the took different brand boats and labelled them with "legend". 2 brands that come to mind were intruder and crestliner. Because of the different manufacturers of that time they can not get parts for them. The only parts that are available are their boats from the past 10 years (give or take). Their head office is outside of Sudbury Ontario but you are probably going to get the same answer I just gave you.

Well being from North Bay, I suppose you are talking about Duhamel and Dewar. Are you saying they are the Legend manufacturer or they are the ones who would look after these older units. I am just looking at a top windshield rail for now.

The boat rides very smooth and we like it as a first boat.

Duhamel and dewar IS legend boats. It is where the first store opened and where their boats are assembled. Every legend boat comes from whitefish, then they are sent to the dealers from there. It's still a family owned company company. as I said before though I'm 99% sure they will not be able to get you the part that you are looking for, but it is worth a phone call. I used to work there as a service advisor.
