First time poster here. Hi everyone! I've got a 1990 Johnson VRO 120 on my 18' Seaswirl Sierra Cuddy Classic that is difficult to start because you have to have the controls in the perfect spot for it engage the solenoid/starter when you turn the key. From my research, I'm 99% sure this is the neutral safety switch causing it. My controls are in a ridiculously hard place to get to. You can see by the pics what my access is like. My question is, how do I access the neutral switch? do I need to take off the white plastic cover pictured to reach it? I see two black wires leaving the plastic cover on the bottom. Is that the switch? I would love some advice from you guys. Thanks!

Alright, found a diagram confirming that's the switch. Looks like it's buried in that housing. Any tips on disassembling it?

Check in the sticky posts at the top or possibly YouTube. That’s the best I can suggest.
