I’m in the process of replacing the 6 recirc valves and lines on my engine (vj200slese). The routing was from the back of the intake to the corresponding cylinder in the block. This routing is what I’ve seen in pics and videos on the internet. It is not the routing called out in my service manual. The manual calls for top intake valve to go to middle cylinder, middle valve to bottom cylinder, and bottom valve to top cylinder. Am I reading the wrong information or is the routing really not that critical as long as they’re all hooked up and flowing properly?

The picture is of a crossflow engine.-----I do not believe that is suitable for your 1990 model 200 HP.----Look for the proper information !

Yeah I don't know the "proper" routing, but DO KNOW that when I replaced my hoses I followed what was there to begin with...now had they NOT been moved in its 34 year life? I do not know

So for my 1986 225hp ...they are routed very simplistically...top carb base to top recirc valve; middle carb base to middle recirc valve...etc.

I'll look in my OEM manual if they make mention of the proper routing

Found this in my 1996 OMC Service Manual
It appears that the recirc routing on your motor is the same as on my 1994 Evinrude 225 V6
