I have had some strange issues with my 1990 Johnson GT150. When the motor is cold and I first start out from the boat ramp the motor will run very rough. If I apply full throttle the motor seems like it is getting to much fuel. If I pull the thottle out of gear it idles fine. Try and take off again same deal. The motor seems to smoke more than normal when it is acting up. If I push in the choke it will die. It will always starts right back up and idle fine. If I keep trying to go, after about 5 to 10 minutes the motor will start to get over the problem and run great. I can shut the motor off for a hour or two and it restarts and runs great. The problem will only occur again the next outing after the boat has set for a week or two. Thanks for any help.
