Hello all. This is my first post. I'm having issues with my motor giving me an alarm
When I try to engage it to move. It idles fine but when I shift it to drive it alarms every time.
It happened one day after about two hrs of riding. I left from a bay, went about 1000' then the alarm
Sounded then It shut me down. Any help would be great. Thanks

There are a couple of types of alarms for that engine. A constant horn is an overheat. If you have short beeps, it is one of two VRO oiling warnings. That engine does not have the factory SLOW feature-so it won't reduce rpm's due to an overheat.

hey guys, just finished putting water pump in the leg but still got an alarm. After listening a little closer there is a small hesitation in the beep so im guessing that the oiling system is faulty. My auto primer isnt working either so i need to pump the ball the get fuel into carbs. Just one thing after another.

Make sure the oil line to the pump is full of oil. You can check the semi-clear sight glass in the line under the cowl to make sure it is full of oil..

Its full of oil and the ball is like a rock.I unplugged a line off the vro2, squeezed the ball and oil/gas mixure came out. I'm gonna start unplugging wires to see if anything in the alarm changes. Maybe the low oil sensor is bad.
