Can anyone tell me the correct carb float level for this motor. The seloc manual says to Invert the carburetor and place a new float bowl gasket onto the carburetor main body. With the carburetor inverted, check the float closed height. The top of the float must be level with the bowl gasket give or take 1/32 in. (0.08 mm).

just doesnt sound right to me

When I did my carbs I used all new parts and floats and did exactly what you just said. I flipped the carb over and made sure the float was level with the base. My motor runs and idles great.

I can see the above correct for the metal 2 barrel carbs. But in 1990 omc switch to 6 individual plastic carbs with the float in the float bowl and not on the main body
