HELP!!!! What is the WOT timing for a 1990 J150STLESB ? Seloc manual says 16 to 18. I find that hard to believe. Called local boat shop and they said the OMC manual does not give a timing setting because they set it with a"special" tool. There is no sticker on the airbox and nothing marked on the flywheel..

The timing is usually according to the sticker on the side of the engine. Or, check out the factory service manual. I bought a factory rebuilt STL 150. It had a factory tag stating the timing was to be set at 30. I always thought that was high, but my factory rep said that was correct based on heads and the original factory carb setup. So, the timing can vary all over the place. Best to get the factory manual and be sure. An that would not be a seloc manual.

Talked to Seloc rep. They said the info was indeed wrong and has been corrected. 1989 to 1991 should be 31 to 33 *
*1989 to 1991 150STL motors should be 27 to 29. Set mine at 24 using Joe Reeves static method.
