1990 FORCE 120HP TOP END

I had my boat out for the first time this weekend and the boat had a problem running at high speed. The boat ran good at low rpm it started good to. The boat ran good at 10 rpm and 3500 rpm but when i try to go wot the boat would start acting like it was not getting gas. When i would back off down to 3500 rpm the boat ran real good.I change plugs and the primer blub and clean the gas filter still the same.Took the boat out again and started running slow and then started working slowly to wot and it ran good to wot.So i try going at wot faster and started missing again so i had a friend pump the primer blub when it started missing and it started running good while he was pumping the blub. When he stop pumping it started missing again.I could go back to 3500 rpm and the boat ran like new.

Bulldog,

I agree it certainly sounds like the demand for fuel is greater than the supply. I don't claim to be a boat expert and I don't claim to know wverthing about fuel systems, but I believe the fuel is pumped via diaphram using pressure from the crankcase. There are oneway valves on the side of the crankcase if they are not working correctly, you won't getr enough fuel. Just a thought.
