I have a 1990 force 120hp 1201X90B. On the tilt n trim unit the steel line that attaches underneath the pump then is routed through the nickel size cut out at the front of the unit then connects to the lift cylinder is broken. Where can you find these parts? What is the part number? I have been looking online but cannot find a thing. Thanks in advance for any help. pwilke

You could try eBay or make your own using stainless steel. Use Swedge Lock fittings and you don't need to flair the ends on the lines. I believe the fittings and tubing are available a NAPA.

On the one hand, I can't figure out which line you are talking about. On the other hand, it doesn't much matter since the answer is the same for all. Find a local brake shop that has CuNi tubing. It is used on most European cars including Mercedes and Volvo. It stands up better to salt without causing excessive damage to aluminum ports. Avoid regular steel tubing and nuts because they will rust out. Avoid SS tubing and nuts because they will eat up any aluminum that they touch.

The only American brand of 3/16" CuNi that I know of is BrakeQuip EasyBend. Have a brake shop make you a section of correct length with brass tube nuts. You should be able to bend it by hand including the tight radius required behind trim housing. Use a broom handle if you do not have tube benders.
