1990 Force 120 carb adjust

How do I adjust the carbs to get max performance and higher rpm at WOT. It only gets to about 4200 rpm wide open. Boat is 20 ft. Bayliner Capri

Hi tgreen<br />I doubt that a carb adjustment, if there was one like you ask for, would correct your problem. Max RPM for this motor is 5000-5200. You have other problems. Test compression and go from there. You might not be firing on all cyls. You may have the incorrect prop. Your boat may be full of water or too much gear.

I bought this boat used and have the same prop on it. what is the proper size and pitch for this boat and motor

Hey,<br /><br />I think you want to be looking at a 13" and anywhere from 17 to a 19 pitch, depending on your desire for speed or quick start.<br /><br />Ted
