1990 Evinrude 25 Commercial oil leaking

Hey guys just bought a used 1990 25 hp commercial Evinrude. I had it running in a barrel and when I took it out black sludge started to seep through the bottom water drain holes. I've done some research and it seems to just be unburnt oil or carbon build up from winterizing. Above the bottom hole, there is another small drain hole that is seeping tan coloured substance. If a seal was broken and water was mixing with the gear oil, would it be seeping through a water drain hole?

This has been discussed many , many times.-----It could be normal.-----But if the gearcase seals are original they could be worn after 25 years.----A pressure test on those seals would be a good idea.
