Hey everyone I am trying to do a carb rebuild on my outboard due to leakage. I've bought 2 different sets and cannot get the new float seats to fully screw in. Like they are bottoming out. Added is a pic of old and new seat.20240317_131244.jpg

Yup that is probably the cheapest carb kit you found and they are nothing but trouble. hopefully you did not force that in the hole, because more than likely the threads are wrong. Sideview shows 2 different threads.

How can I find the correct kit please? I admit they start fine just sit about a 1/8" too high. Thanks in advance

Carburetor kits were the same year after year.----Same for crossflow V-4 and V-6.-----Most good b9at shops would have them in stock.

That's another thing... thought the part number I kept buying was wrong. Carb is stamped 334329-EO.
Am very curious as to all of the additional parts and where they would go because I could never find anything like them to change out. Maybe a diagram out there somewhere but be awesome. Watched a few videos but not with same carbs. Again thanks...cheap parts going back.

??---See post #7 ----The kits are universal and not all the parts are needed to do a proper job.----Time for you to find a trustworthy shop !
