Okay started with motor trimmed mid per trim gauge - pump verified as dead - release valve has proven useless - got a screw driver imbedded in the head but could not get it to budge - trying to get starboard transom bracket unstuck - everything I've seen on here and web talks about steering cables and tilt tube. My motor has sea star hydraulic power steering - so I think my tilt tube is different - see pic - have gotten the hex bolt to turn but see no progress in it allowing the bracket to move outward - have a small amount of movement ie to raise it but it only moves about
an 1 1/2 in from the transom.
Planning on pulling the engine off and coming in from the back to try and remove the 2 screws and motor.
