At first when I bought it yes because of that weird cutout in the transome...but it doesn't go down into the bilge really as theres a hatch....my thought is instal a pod and make that transom section higher or atleast even

This is how boat was when I bought it transom wise so I'm not sure what the splash guard would look like

Another reason I was thinking this route is so that's my main engine and kicker are side by side not way off set like they are

Good deal.

Im not an expert on these things but you will be shifting weight, also account for increased(?) Horsepower. Have you looked into a jackplate as well?

What are your goals?

Moving the engine farther back by adding a bracket will cause the stern to lay deeper in the water. Besides, I am not sure that you need a kicker with that engine. It looks like that engine can go slow enough for trolling. A good splashbox will keep the water out and removing a kicker that you do not need will make the stern loose about 120 pounds and raise the stern a bit. Looking at the pictures it seems to me that it used to have a splashbox with a drainhole on each side of the engine and if you want to keep the kicker you can probably install it on the medium raised part of the transom, maybe cut it out just a bit wider, and that way you do not need a kicker bracket.
A splashbox would be what I suggest.

Ah, pics showed up.

Still your goals and expectations will help the other, more smart people can answer more effectively.

Right ...mine doesn't get water up onto the floor at all...splashes in to the sloped area and like mentioned out 2 holes beside engine....I troll with main engine mostly but I have broken down in other boats with no kicker and I'm to old to paddle lol....maybe my thoughts are solely because they look cool on a bracket

What body of water are you boating and how adventurous are you?

Brackets are “performance” modifications for lack of a better word. Have pro and cons so you need to determine if the benefits outweigh the quirks

Wouldn’t worry about enclosing the transom unless you have a need to “back down” on fish.
