The clymers manual says OMC recommends a Champion QL77JC4 or L77JC4 for low-speed operation and a QUL77V or UL77V (non adjustable gap) for high-speed use.

I will use my 17 foot CC for fishing mainly but will also do some wakeboarding. Currently I travel about 5 miles out then stop-n-go looking for fish. I haven't gotten into trolling yet but assume I will this come season. Which plug should I use? Does it really make a difference?

Thanks,
Chris

If you use premix in your moter, stick with QL77jc4.There have been many bulletins about diferent plugs for newer gas types. I dislike
surface gap plugs, so stick with the original and work your way to a hotter plug if needed.
