I have a 1990 Evinrude 70 hp that the temp sensor alarm activates and the motor goes into SLOW mode (Continuous alarm sound) after 20 min out on the water every time
I've put in a new impeller and water pump kit. The VRO is new. New plugs. This motor has low hrs.
The motor continues to go to SLOW mode but the head temperature is not hot and the pump puts out a strong stream of water.
The thermostat is original as are any sensors
What could be the cause of the temp sensor going off....Electronic? Electrical?
