1990 3 cyl 60 merc with new smokers habit.

I have a 1990 3 cyl merc and it has begun to exhaust so much white smoke that the transom of my boat after trolling all day is black from the water line up 5 inches. A 50 to 1 carefully measured high quality sythetic oil ratio is not a factor. It idles fine and appears to have lot's of power.

My guess is you are getting water in the cumbustion chamber hopefully just a gasket problem<br />pull the plugs see if they look strange kind of washed.
