1990 200Hp starter work on a 1992 115HP?

My starter is shot....I found a local guy parting out his 200hp(1990) power head is shot. He is selling it for half the cost of getting mine rebuilt. Granted I do not know how long its going to last ..... but IF I decide I want it will it work on my motor, I wasn't sure if it will fit or work for my motor. Thanks

Samm, look on the aftermarket starter list. if both motors have a common replacement, it will likely work. My '93 135HPV6 starter is supposed to be the same as my '77 1500IL6 starter.

I would think the 115HP and 200Hp starters are not interchangeble, but it doesn't hurt to look.
