My 175 runs fine until it gets warm, then it acts as if kill switch is turning on and off intermittently when the rpm's are above 1800. The motor never stalls it just "misses" badly. If I run it at 1700 it runs fine once I bump it up to 1800ish it acts up again. I checked connections and changed plug/wires, ran fine until warm then started it all over again.

test your warning system, sounds like the SLOW mode is kicking in. make sure its not over heating then remove the sensor connections on the port cyl head. ground the black/white wire to eliminate quickstart and retest. the tan wire is the hot alarm wire and also triggers the pack to SLOW. they fail occasionally.

How do I test the warning system, the horn sounds when the ignition key is turned to start. Where are the sensor connections? So my power pack may be failing? Do I have two of those? Since this is only when it is warm, how can I make these tests using muffs?

by following the service manual.<br /> the sensors are on each head. the tan wire from the head sensors control slow. test them both. cant test it on a flusher. beforecondeming the packs test the inputs to it. could be a sensor could be a pack. could be its getting hot and everything is working except the audible alarm.

It may be out of my league, I will take a look and then take it to a professional. I will keep you posted, how fast can you get to Michigan Rodbolt? Thanks for your help.
