1990 175 Black Max Model Identification #

I just bought a used Mercury 175 Black Max. The guy I bought it from says it's a 1990 but there isn't any identification plate or sticker on it for me to identify it. The only thing I could find that was readable was what looks like a freeze plug on the top of the block # B331716. Any help on how I can better narrow down which model # this is would be appreciated. Thanks.
